Tip Bent Knife     add to cart

Also known as crooked knife, as used in the Native North Coast style wood carving. About half of the blade (closest to the handle) is straight for general fairing. The tip of the blade is bent to a fairlyu tight radius for aggressive removal of material.

My most versatile wood carving tools. Usually used held palm up and thumb high on far end od handle for leverage. The double edge cuts both pulling and pushing, so as the grain changes you don't need to turn the piece around. Free hand can hold wood, so a vice is not needed.
